SRC manufactures Piston i.e. Steel Shims, Cord Rings, Duaflex Rings, Expanders etc.

(1) STEEL SHIMS:
It is made of Steel Wire and Heat Treated, it is fitted in the Top Groove of the Piston to prevent its early wear.

(2) CORD RINGS:
They are an alternate for the Scraper Ring made of Cast Iron and they make proper Tension against the Cylinder Wall.

(3) DUAFLEX RING:
It consists of Four Chrome Plated Rings Which sits at top and bottom of the Groove separated by a spacer and contact an Expander Ring, It is an alternate for Chrome Platted Spring Loaded Slotted Oil Ring.

(4) EXPANDER:
SRC Expanders are made from Spring Steel Wire. Our range of expanders includes both Napier Hump Expander as well as Slotted Hump Expanders. Napier Hump Expanders are used along with the Compression Ring while Slotted Hump Expander is used along with the Non Spring Loaded oil ring to provide the required outward thrust to the ring for maintaining 100% OD Contact with the cylinder liner. Radius to the bends of the expanders is accurately maintained for obtaining the required amount of tangenial tension by the compression ring or the oil ring.
